Things to do on the Fylde Coast

Things to do on the Fylde Coast

It’s an amazing place, with something for everyone. Have a look at our list of things to do on the Fylde Coast. We’ve got stuff for families, things to do for FREE, for theatre goers, thrill seekers, shoppers – and more! Can you think of any more to include?

Everybody knows Blackpool, right in the middle of the Fylde Coast. Have you been to St Annes and Lytham in the south, and the rest of the borough of Fylde? Or head north to the quieter seaside towns of Cleveleys and Fleetwood. Just a little inland is the pretty market town of Poulton.

Things to do on the Fylde Coast

It’s fair to say that there’s something for everyone here on the Fylde Coast, whatever your taste or preferences.

It’s also the seaside that never really closes! Unlike most other resorts, the Fylde Coast doesn’t really go completely ‘out of season’. It’s quieter in the depths of winter (which is only really January and some of February) and a few of the big attractions are closed, especially mid week. But on a sunny winter day you can still have a great day out!

Our Things to do list can be enjoyed for most of the year. Don’t forget to look at the Events Calendar. Plus, explore all of the different Visit Fylde Coast websites – there are literally thousands of pages to look at!

Hundreds of Things to do on the Fylde Coast

This list of inspiration is in alphabetical order. Can you think of any others? How many different items do you think we could get to?

Expecting this list of things to do on the Fylde Coast to get enormous, we’ve missed off the adjectives and descriptions and stuck to the name of the thing, place or activity. We’re sure you’ll understand!

Things to Do During Coronavirus

Of course throughout 2020/21 coronavirus was a huge problem in the UK and worldwide. Who knows what might happen next.

First written as a list of safer things to do during a pandemic, this is also a good list for anyone whose immunity is compromised. Or if you’re wanting to get out of the house and have some fresh air, but avoid enclosed spaces and people as much as possible. With a prevailing westerly wind and acres of open space, the seafront is a great place to do that!

Things to Do on Rainy Days

It’s the Great British Seaside, so there’s sure to be some rainy days when you’re looking for things to do.

But not to worry, you’re sure to find something to do in the rain here on the Fylde Coast. Look at our list to sort out rainy day activities for kids and things to do in the rain for adults. There’s plenty of choice.

Don’t forget that you can always enjoy everything on the list come rain or shine! All you need to do is wear the right clothes. If you’re really lucky you might even see a rainbow – or two…
