Seaside Gardening

We’ve always liked gardening here at Visit Fylde Coast and we know that you do too. Dip into our Seaside Gardening pages – share your questions, tips, successes and failures. We’ll grow green fingers together!

We’re growing this section (get it?!) to include hints and tips, particularly about seaside gardening.

It’s not always easy knowing what to plant or how growing conditions are different here at the coast. Here at Visit Fylde Coast we’ve had a lot of disasters ourselves, and killed a lot of plants in learning what’s to do!

But it is perfectly possible to have a nice garden, however close you are to the sea. Your own green oasis is good for the soul, the wildlife and drainage. There are loads of benefits – so what’s not to like?
