Explore Beyond the Fylde Coast

It’s a really handy and accessible place for exploring further afield from. From the Fylde Coast you can visit all of the north west.

  • For great walking routes follow the River Wyre and Lancaster Canal into the country.
  • For quiet countryside head to the Forest of Bowland and the landmark Pendle Hill. Enjoy walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding.
  • Follow the trail of the Pendle Witches, the Pendle Way and the Pennine Cycleway. Head to Bronte Country and the magical hamlet of Wycoller.
  • Further afield is the world renowned Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Why not stop off at Morecambe or Lancaster on your way north to the Lakes.
  • If cities are your thing it’s not far to Manchester and just an hour to Liverpool and Chester. Preston is about 40 minutes away.
