What’s Happening at Cleveleys & Fleetwood Beach?

Wyre Council in partnership with Balfour Beatty are progressing the Wyre Beach Management Scheme between Cleveleys and Rossall School and at Rossall Point. This is a coast defence project which aims to significantly reduce the risk of coastal erosion and flooding to over 11,000 properties and critical infrastructure along our coastline.

At Cleveleys & Fleetwood beach, toe protection and new rock groynes are being installed to help to reduce the risk of erosion and overtopping.

Call into The Venue to speak to Jane Littlewood, Public Information Officer, and find out exactly what’s happening and why. Have a look at plans and find out everything you want to know. Jane might be out at the seafront taking photos/making video very early in the morning, so please wait or ask in The Venue!
