March 2024 – the end of Brew at Two

Brew at 2 has had a really good run – notching up over three years of live streams! It was only ever intended to be a short term thing during the lockdowns of the covid pandemic. People loved it so it carried on. But like all good things it eventually had to come to an end… It doesn’t mean the end of vlogs – or live streams – it’s just time to move on!

How to Share a Brew at 2 with Visit Fylde Coast

Brew at 2 is our regular live-stream chat-show on the Visit Fylde Coast YouTube channel. It’s FREE to join and everyone is welcome – make sure you set a reminder!

Here’s a full playlist of past and upcoming shows – BREW AT 2 – PLAYLIST & UPCOMING DATES HERE

Set a reminder to get a notification from YouTube just before it begins. Or do it the old fashioned way and stick a note on the kitchen cupboard!

Missed an episode? Watch it afterwards on playback. It’s not the same as being there at the time, but it’s still great fun and worth a watch.

BUT make sure you catch it fairly quickly afterwards, before it disappears. Live streams don’t always save properly so we only guarantee that they’ll be available for a week after the event.

What’s in a Brew at 2?

Brew at 2 is where the Visit Fylde Coast gang gather together to share friendship and a love of this coast. We’re all BATs which makes for an entertaining hour of live fun. Because Brew at Two spells BAT – and we’re certainly all that!

There’s inside news, questions and answers from Jane, and a chance to share your news too. Plus readers messages, jokes (generally very poor ones!) shout-outs, birthdays, and our swansong to finish.

Get your brew made before kick off begins at 2pm. Settle yourself down, get comfy and sit back to join in. Don’t forget you’ll have to type your comments though. It’s not Zoom or Messenger video – you type comments and we read them!

You can support the production of Brew at 2 by buying your own mug. Any donations or profits from merchandise are reinvested back into making more of the great content you love. When you order your mug you’ll be immortalised on the BAT map! Get your own Brew at 2 Mug here

How did Brew at 2 Begin?

We’ve been publishing Visit Fylde Coast for a whopping 12 years but only started vlogging on YouTube in April 2020.

When lockdown began we started making videos to connect our readers to the coast. You couldn’t get here in person so we brought the seaside to you! In autumn 2020 we were back in lockdown again – which is when Brew at 2 began – with the first show on 3 November 2020.

Originally a way for us to bring you Fylde Coast news and chit-chat while a) we were in lockdown and b) the weather was poor, one thing led to another. We laughed and chatted and compared covid vaccine notes all through that long, miserable winter. By the New Year of 2021 you loved it so much that there would have been uproar if it had stopped!

In February you were asking for mugs, by March we’d realised that mugs made us BATs. (Because Brew at Two spells BAT – and we’re certainly all that!)

In April we’d got the BAT map, got a bit more organised with running the show and the rest is history!

We’re BATs!

Through the miserable grey winter of 2020/21 our little BAT family kept each other entertained and cheered up.

We’ve sort of got to know one another and form a little online batty family. Why don’t you join us? We’re all BATs at Two!
