The Platinum Jubilee will be celebrated throughout the year, in the UK, Commonwealth and around the world.
In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. It marks seventy years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6th February 1952 when Her Majesty was 25 years old.
The focal point of the Platinum Jubilee Weekend is in June.
We’ll all enjoy an extended bank holiday, from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June. It’s a chance to celebrate the historic milestone.
Four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities. Plus national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.

In Blackpool
Enjoy a fun packed weekend for all the family with the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations at Anchorsholme Park. It’s the seafront park adjacent to the new promenade at the very northern end of Blackpool,

Enjoy a long weekend of entertainment with St Annes Carnival. With four days of fun planned, incorporating Carnival weekend with live music and family fun.
Save the date and get ready for a right royal do! Come along and enjoy the Platinum Picnic at Fairhaven Lake on Sunday 5 June.
The Queen’s Green Canopy
This is a unique, UK-wide tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) is inviting people to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee.”
Individuals and groups, businesses and groups are being encouraged to plant trees. The QGC tree planting season begins in October 2021, through to the end of the Jubilee year in 2022. Part of it is teaching people about the best way to plant trees so that they survive and flourish for years to come.
The Queen’s Green Canopy will highlight 70 unique and irreplaceable Ancient Woodlands across the United Kingdom. Plus identifying 70 Ancient Trees to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.
