Welcoming Winter

Welcoming Winter, a very special light show and performance on Mereside’s Field of Dreams, as part of Lightpool’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

Friday 23 October from 6.30pm to 8pm

Welcoming Winter

For one night only, come and meet the Dreamers – a family of extraordinary, three-metre-tall sculptures created by international artist Ivan Morison and community volunteers using the harvest from our wildflower meadow.

As the Dreamers take their place as guardians of the meadow through winter, artists AndNow (whose work has featured at the Blenheim Palace, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, and the National Eisteddfod of Wales), will transform the field with unexpected uses of light and live performance, bringing these remarkable creatures to life after dark.

Inspired by Fylde Coast traditions of coming together as the seasons change, Welcoming Winter invites you to gather, celebrate and experience the Field of Dreams in a whole new light.
