Fleetwood & District Choral Society present Hiawatha’s Wedding Feast
A great concert coming up – the evocative and tuneful setting of the tale of Hiawatha’s Wedding. Set to the famous poem by Longfellow by one of the greatest composers of his generation, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. He earned the nickname the “African Mahler” although he was born in London.
We are pairing this with a wonderful song cycle by Elgar “from the Bavarian Highlands”. With words adapted by his wife Alice following a holiday they enjoyed in Bavaria.
Tickets just £12 (under 18’s go FREE)
