Northern humour is reflected throughout Affair With Hair – at Blackpool Grand Theatre. Memories and real-life situations brings about a surreal and unique fly-on-the-wall look at the day-to-day affairs of life as a hairdresser. Although the characters we meet are fictional.

David Patrick Traynor set about to create a play based on some of the bizarre situations he found himself in during his career as a unisex hairdresser.
Set around a hairdressing salon called Affair With Hair, a name belonging to a salon he once owned. The play takes us on a journey through the eyes of 2 stylists, Richard & Julie; revealing both their working and private lives and how at times it becomes difficult to separate the two.
