April Weather 2022
A subsequent area of high pressure over Northern Europe resulted in Southern Europe/Mediterranean suffering the brunt of the wet weather off the Atlantic. As a consequence, we enjoyed another very good month with temperatures slightly above average.
21 days without a drop of rain, and an abundance of sunshine from dawn till dusk. As for May, the prediction is for a period of unsettled weather around the beginning of the month with more settled conditions from mid-month onwards. We shall see.
Temperature: A cool first week but temperatures gradually improved resulting in a 20C on the 17th
Rainfall: Wet at the beginning but very dry mid-month onwards.was in short supply as evidenced by 21 completely rain-free days.
Sunshine: Only three days when it failed to show
The highlight of the Month: It has to be the sunshine. The high-pressure system favoured the North West with uninterrupted blue skies day after day which bumped up the ‘feel-good’ feeling for so many, locals and visitors alike.
