Blackpool and Fylde Radio Controlled Model Society
The BFRCMS formed in Blackpool in 1958. The club has more than 70 members and boasts one of the best flying sites in the North West of England.
The Blackpool flying club caters for all sizes and types of radio controlled model aircraft, predominantly fixed wing, internal combustion, electric and gas turbines.
The flying site at Weeton, near Blackpool consists of a 190 metres long by 90 metres wide grass strip, with ample parking close to the field. There is a clubhouse with its own raised decking area.

The facilities are available seven days a week with extended flying hours during the summer months. The club regularly runs social events throughout the summer on Wednesdays and Sundays.
New members are always welcome, both novices and experienced pilots.
Experienced club members are always on hand and ready to support newcomers to the hobby. The club runs the BMFA proficiency scheme and qualified instructors are always pleased to teach new members to fly. Buddy Box training is available for members with suitable equipment.
