Covid Virus and all that….

I was reading about the Covid virus the other day and how the numbers are escalating.

Apparently the Vic has reached double figures from what it was, and of course mostly the Delta variant. The medical director said that eight people were on the general ward after testing positive and two unfortunate people were in intensive care fighting for their lives. (Of course these figures will be different by the time you read this)

They have a weekly meeting at the Vic to discuss the virus. At the moment it seems to be seesawing, up and down it goes. Although the virus is going wherever it wants to – sometimes up and sometimes down. The medics are on standby in case of a rush of patients – although they don’t seem to know which way it’s going at the moment.

Another person was confirmed dead within 28 days of having the virus, which is more bad news for some poor person. It doesn’t seem to be particular where or who it strikes.

Covid Virus and all that jazz (or jabs!)

Yet still people continue to be sceptical about whether it exists or not, which is something I will never be able to understand.

But anyway, how can the virus be brought under any form of control when some won’t have the vaccine. Everyone knows that the vaccine is having a profound effect on the course of the covid virus. It’s hindering and stopping all the nasty work it’s been doing, and figures prove that vaccination does in fact work.

I honestly think there should be more pressure on people to have it done. At the end of the day, the ones who won’t have it are risking their own and other people’s lives. It doesn’t make sense to me that those who refuse the jab are being allowed to help to spread the disease and its mutations. Meanwhile we watch cases doubling and so on, all over the country.

At the moment, there are increasing numbers of people testing positive each week. It’s a marked increase, especially as it was being brought under control. It’s known that almost all the cases are of the Delta strain which is also known to be more contagious. Yet there doesn’t seem to have been massive increases in the over 60’s age group – the ones who have all been double-jabbed. It’s gone up a bit, but not a lot, while the number of cases in this group in the Vic is low numbers. Thank goodness I say.

Covid Virus is Here to Stay

It will be a good job when you can go out and about as we used to do, but I do think the virus is here to stay. I have always said that, right from the beginning, that it’s here to stay.

We will have to learn to live with it and not the other way round. More people need to be careful and not assume it’s all coming to an end because it’s not. It won’t while ever people, for whatever reason, remain jab free.

I am on my high horse aren’t I. But when it comes to ignorance and stupidity I can’t help myself. So here goes while I’m up there in my elevated position on my horse. Here’s another subject, after learning about a meeting with police and council officials.

Yobbos

The subject? Something that a lot of people are affected by – noise disturbance, rowdy behaviour and vandalism. Speeding traffic, parking problems, litter and all the many more things that happen. I can’t for the life in me understand why there is such a big increase in crime. Whether it be petty or on a larger scale, it seems to be escalating.

As for the youth of today, yes, we have all been young at one time. But speaking personally I wouldn’t have dreamt of doing what they do today, nor would my peers. In the last few days the warnings are back on social media, about gangs going round our town at 2am trying car doors, garages and anything else. All the things that we work hard for, as though it’s their right to take it, which it isn’t.

Do what we’ve all done, get a job and earn your money. Then they’ll see what it’s all about.

Our local gardening group, Care for Cleveleys, have picked up the reins again now that some restrictions are lifted and they can. They’ve been looking after pots, planting flowers all over and doing all the things to make a difference to our High Street.

Shove it where the sun don’t shine…

They’d been out one day and left everything looking pretty and tidy only to find out the next day someone had stuffed glass bottles and rubbish in the middle of where they’d been working hard to make it look nice. The day after, it carried on again and more empty bottles and rubbish had been shoved into the plants as though it had been placed there deliberately. How needless is that!

The yobbos are back to gathering on the car park again, just being disturbing and doing things they shouldn’t.

While ever they get away with all this they’ll carry on. They know there’s no deterrent or punishment, which I think is stupid.

Parents should be held responsible for their offspring and be made to pay for whatever they have done or stolen. Then they might look after them better and give them a bit better chance of going through life as a decent citizen. Although I’m not counting on it!!
