St Annes Kite Festival
- Friday 4 September – 12 noon to 10pm featuring illuminated kite flying from dusk
Expect kites with flashing lights, floodlit inflatables in the shapes of all manner of creatures! There’ll be a fairground on the beach and entertainment and additional food stalls on the Promenade - Saturday 5 September – 11am to 5pm (The fairground will be open and operate into the evening)
- Sunday 6 September – 11am to 4pm
On Saturday & Sunday you’ll see all kinds of kites. More animal inflatables, artistic kites, and sports kites choreographed to music – bring your own kite to join in or buy a kite at the event and fly it in the public area! Back on the ground, there’ll be funfair rides on the beach, stalls for refreshments, live music and plenty of other entertainment. A perfect day out for families and kite enthusiasts alike. - Plus, in 2026 an artisan market featuring local producers in the Promenade Gardens.
- Please note the event is entirely weather dependent and the planned programme may be changed without notice, for safety reasons. The dates have been chosen as the planned tides support this.
The event is a partnership between Fylde Council and kite fliers SmileFactor10, with support from St Annes Town Council.
