Knifes, Weapons and Washers – pt 1

I was having a browse through the paper as you do, when I saw an article that amused me. Even though I suppose it wasn’t funny. This is the knife bit of knives, weapons and washers.

Apparently, a man was caught in Blackpool carrying a knife, while deciding, in his wisdom, to bang on the doors and windows of the hotels of York Street. The man carrying the knife had tried to dump it in a plant pot. Not sure why but I suppose he had his reasons, but local residents called the police.

Naturally they were a bit concerned. Maybe they thought he was going to go on a rampage and take the tops off all the plant pots contents, who knows.

Would you believe that when the police turned up, he said he had borrowed the knife from a friend. To cut up onions. I bet they had a right old laugh about that one. It brought tears to my eyes too, oh my jokes are so corny, but anyway.

The man actually told the police he had it as he wanted to chop up onions, not murder people. I mean, how can you take that one seriously, I ask you.

Today’s onion recipe…

Was he so desperate to chop onions up that he trailed to a friends to borrow a knife? I wonder what he was making? Onion soup, stew, the list is endless, but I wouldn’t mind betting that he hadn’t got it to chop up onions, unless he was addicted to them. Still, I suppose that could be better than drinking or drug addiction.

I wouldn’t mind betting that when the police had finished laughing, they put that one down in the memory books of stupid reasons.

He was put on remand awaiting to see what the court said. I bet it brought tears to all their eyes when they heard his defence. I told you I was corny! He will have to wait until August 5th to hear what his fate is going to be. One thing’s for sure, I bet if he gets banged up, he will be put to work in the kitchens!! Boom, boom…

Another one that caught my eye is the weapons bit of of knives, weapons and washers.

Three people were rushed to hospital, after being attacked by a group of men carrying weapons at the Doric Hotel on Queens Prom.

Some men brandishing weapons attacked another group of men in what can only be called a vicious attack. I mean, imagine being a guest there and men running wild with a machete! It sounds like one or other of those terrorist groups who torture and murder for the fun of it.

It seems they also had other weapons, so what they were I don’t know, guns perhaps. But on a quiet, late Sunday evening it must have been a terrible scene to witness.

Three people were taken to hospital – two of them were kept in. It makes you wonder if it was some kind of gang war. Maybe drug running that went wrong, or money owed. Or just plain and simply one gang trying to top dog another in a turf war.

Vivid imagination?

My lot say I watch too many thrillers on TV. But this sort of thing goes on, countrywide, so you never know. I feel for the people who were staying there and the hotel itself, it must have been terrifying to witness.

I have a friend who visits that hotel several times a year and loves it. So I’m glad she wasn’t there when all this went off, it would have been terrible. It just makes you wonder what the world is coming to. We shouldn’t have to be scared when on a holiday at a nice hotel. I just hope they get locked up for a long time and throw the key away!

Knifes, Weapons and Washers – pt 3

And so onto the final part of this strange combination of subjects. The washing part of of knives, weapons and washers.

After another week of wind we could do with a squad of cleaners. Jet washers preferably, to make our home look less like it’s been in a mud snowball competition and we lost! The whole house is filthy outside, I can’t call it anything else, and I’m not exaggerating!

The dirt left behind by the sea foam. The washing part of of knives, weapons and washers.
The dirt left behind by the sea foam

I’ve told you before what an inventor he is, well he’s been at it again. Don’t ask me how it works as I haven’t got a clue. But I do know that, with the help of extended telescopic tubes, he can reach all the parts that others can’t reach. As the advert goes.

An own goal

Maybe he scored an own goal, because he can clean so much more now. With me standing at the back of him with the rolling pin, what else can he do but clean!

It really is clever and is attached to the jet washing machine. Don’t ask me how as I’m not technically minded, but it does. He can get so much higher, for example the top of the down pipes, stench pipes and all the rest. You might think that’s being a bit faddy, but if you saw the colour of them you’d know why. They are covered in dirt after the foam blows. A clean bottom half and a filthy top part doesn’t look right somehow. Even though I admit I am the first to want things just-so.

Anyway, I could hear noises coming from the garage. He was finding his miracle washer and restoring the house back to not being filthy!
