One of the ICare team of 120 carers is delighted to have won the title of ‘Carer of the Year’. Not once but twice, at the Blackpool Council and Blackpool Home Care Provider’s Forum annual awards.
Care of the Year – twice!
It’s unprecedented that a single person should win the same award twice, but Anne Scully has, with her caring and pleasant approach. One family even credited Anne with reviving their father’s will to live, saying ‘he would be lost without her help’.
Anne is pictured above, receiving her award from May of Blackpool Councillor Ian Coleman.
She’s part of the ICare home care team and helps people to remain independent in their own homes. The Carer of the Year Award is that much more special because nominations are directly from service users.
Philip Gradwell is the senior registered care manager at ICare Group and he praised Anne’s award win, saying “it’s well deserved recognition for the amazing effort she puts in to helping people remain independent in their homes”.
