SUMMARY:Welcoming Winter
DESCRIPTION:\nWelcoming Winter, a very special light show and performance on Mereside’s Field of Dreams, as part of Lightpool’s 10th anniversary celebrations.\n\n\n\nFriday 23 October from 6.30pm to 8pm\n\n\n\nWelcoming Winter\n\n\n\nFor one night only, come and meet the Dreamers – a family of extraordinary, three-metre-tall sculptures created by international artist Ivan Morison and community volunteers using the harvest from our wildflower meadow.\n\n\n\nAs the Dreamers take their place as guardians of the meadow through winter, artists AndNow (whose work has featured at the Blenheim Palace, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, and the National Eisteddfod of Wales), will transform the field with unexpected uses of light and live performance, bringing these remarkable creatures to life after dark.\n\n\n\nInspired by Fylde Coast traditions of coming together as the seasons change, Welcoming Winter invites you to gather, celebrate and experience the Field of Dreams in a whole new light.\n\n\n\nEvent details 📅 📍 Field of Dreams, Clifton Road, Mereside, FY4 4QA (opposite the big Tesco, on the old playing fields)🎟️ Free – everyone welcome!\n\n\n\nThis event is not organised by Visit Fylde Coast but please mention you saw it here.
