The first year of the brand new Cine Wyre Film Festival to be held at the iconic Marine Hall in Fleetwood.  \n\n\n\nThursday 26 Feb – Sunday 1 March 2026\n\n\n\nCine Wyre Film Festival\n\n\n\nFour days to join in and enjoy this exciting new venture with a Festival schedule celebrating the diversity, fun and impact of storytelling.\n\n\n\nFeaturing films of local stories about the Fleetwood to Knott End ‘END TO END’ Ferry and Abingdon Street Market’s ‘INERTIAL’ Sounds Record Shop.  Themed days offer a line up of Shorts and Features, Documentaries LGBTQ+ and Horror/Thriller films including BAFTA winner ‘ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS’ and Oscars 2026 short film nominee ‘JANE AUSTEN’S PERIOD DRAMA’ and independent films from as far afield as the USA, Germany, Italy and more.\n\n\n\nFamily Friendly Films will run on Saturday and Sunday for live action and animated fans. \n\n\n\nStarring local film making talent in the ‘Foot in the Door’ Masterclass Live sessions at 3pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Three local, talented, industry professionals from the documentary, music and stunt performance arenas will share their career paths and how they work on their award-winning projects.
