It’s Burns Night today!\n\n\n\n25 January\n\n\n\nBurns Night \n\n\n\nRobert Burns was born on 25 January 1759 (died 21 July 1796) and was a famous Scottish poet.\n\n\n\nThe first Burns Supper was held just 5 years after his death in 1801. Typically you’ll eat haggis with mashed potato and mashed swede, drink Scotch whisky and recite his poems. The evening usually ends by joining hands and singing Auld Lang Syne.\n\n\n\nHundreds of years later, we’re still celebrating the event, which brightens up the dreary month of January.\n\n\n\nThis event is not organised by Visit Fylde Coast but please mention you saw it here.
